Yes it is - and yes I did! I like to work a little out of the box and do some unexpected things with a platform like TypePad. I love to hear feedback from clients who say "WOW, I didn't know you could do that with a TypePad site!". And honestly, there are *some* things that can't be done within the TypePad platform - but I will certainly attempt it if I can...and break a whole lot of things in the process :)
Do you do custom design work for TypePad clients?
Yes, I do - frequently.
Do you work with TypePad's existing templates, or do you do Advanced Template work also?
I do both. Depending on what the client needs/wants for the site - we may determine that they need more than just the standard TypePad templates and will branch out into the use of Advanced Templates to complete the work they need done.

Are you really writing TypePad For Dummies?? When is it due to hit the shelves??
Once upon a time, I was scheduled to be the author for TypePad For Dummies. Unfortunately, I can only stretch myself soooooooooo thin before I break! I have 3 books currently in the works for Wiley Publishing (the folks behind the ..For Dummies series) and while I would have LOVED to write TypePad For Dummies - - it's been turned over to the very capable and very talented hands of Melanie from Blogging Basics 101 and Shannon from Rocks in my Dryer! From what I understand, the book is due to hit the shelves in March of 2010.
Have you written other books?
Yes - I am the author of WordPress For Dummies. The 1st edition of that book published in November 2007, and then I wrote the 2nd edition of WordPress For Dummies that was released in February 2009. I'm just a writing fool! I am currently in the process of writing BuddyPress For Dummies, due out in February of 2010 - - and 2 other books that I cannot yet disclose publicly (but will when the time is right!)
